Talfighi (Compositional)

In Addition to the above mentioned designs that every one has a determined name for it and also has special history in course of time. There were new designs which were compound of two or some designs.
The subordinate groups of these designs we can name: Citron twist herbage, Citron series, Citron triangular compositional, Eslimi rope vase, Fabi frame compositional, Landscape compositional, Citron bouquet compositional, Market- garden compositional, Something that has citron compositional, Citron simple basis compositional, Citron Triangular Simple Basis Compositional, Simple basis market-garden citron triangular compositional, Bouquet Rope Compositional. 

Ili (Tribal)

These designs are one of the oldest and original designs in Iranian carpet wearing and are creature of the mind of native weaver.
In these designs the nature and their life environment are reflected very simply. They do not follow the organized designs but has their own beauty.
The design of this carpet has transported this design from one region to another, from western part of Iran to eastern part.
The sides groups of these designs belong of there are as which were know first in there or is known with the name of the ones who first ordered those carpets.
The famous & old name of these groups includes: Heybatloo, Ghashghai Bote, Afshari, Khatoni, Ardebil, Mazlaghan, Khamse, Save, Tafresh, Heris, Mehraban, Goravan, Zanjan, Meshkinshahr, Bakhtiari, Kordi, Yalme, Gabbe (khodrang), Sistan, Ferdos, Salarkhani, Yaghobkhani, Sangchobi, Ali mirzai, Jan beigi, Prayer carpet, Jovin, Mosa abad, Baloochestan, Viss, ghorje, Sane, Bouquet.

Hendesi (Geometrical)

In this design the use of geometric plans in usual. Mostly the lines have corners & they don't move in circle shape.
The important side groups are: Frame rope geometrical, Having citron geometrical, Moharamat geometrical, citron triangular geometrical, Simple basis geometrical, Khatai geometrical, Star( Mosaic) geometrical, Khatam shirazi geometrical, Joshaghani geometrical.

Moharamat

The design of Moharramat is a kind of plan in the carpet that some part of the plan are repeated in length of carpet and the width is divided to some rows and every row has specified color and design and continues from the beginning to the end of the carpet and is drawer as stripped. This design is called Pen-case in some part of Iran.
The subordinate groups of Moharamat designs are: Pen-case series, Tiny flowers with single color basis & the stem with different color.

Mehrabi

The original design of Mehrabi has been got from alter & decorations like columns, flowers & leaves have been add to it.
Pillar-shaped vassal altar,Vase Mehrabi, Mehrabi Ghandil, Landscape Mehrabi.

Mahi Darham (Informal Mahi)

The design is know as native and tribal one.
It's woven like other geometric designs has come from mind and has not been down according to plan. Fortunately the beauty of this design has made the designers to keep it as one of the organized designs with its adding specifications.
This design had been woven in Birjand (one of Khorassa province cities) and little by little distributed to all over the territory though now a day had been common from to west.
Also in central points of Iran means from Khorassan province to Azerbaijan, Hamedan and Arak cities.
The subordinate groups of this: Mahi Harat, Mahi Farahan & Zanbori, Mahi Sene or Kordestan, Rize Mahi, Khorde Mahi, Mahi darham bandi.

Goldani (vase)

In vase design the shape of different sizes are seen mostly.
Sometimes a vase full of flowers covers the carpet and sometimes some small vases fill the carpet symmetrically around the center or serially one by one.
The subordinate groups are Khatai vase, both side vases, Mehrabi vase, throughout vase, Zel Alsoltan (flower & nightingale), Haj Khatami vase, Repetition vase, Citron Triangular vase, One side vase.

Golfarang

It is a combined design of the original Persian designs with natural flowers specially Rose.In this carpet the use of dark and light colors especially red ones is usual.The subordinate groups of this: Citron triangular, Golfarang Bijar, Golfarang Mostofi, something that has citron golfarang, Bouquet golfarang, flower & nightingale golfarang.

Ghabi (Frame)

This drawing has been made by polygon frames.
It's subordinate groups are: Eslimi frame, Ghorani Kerman frame, vertical frame.

Shekargah (Hunting- ground)

The mentioned features about Derakhti designs are founding Shekargah too.
But in the most of the shekargah plans there are wild animals while hunting.
The subordinate groups are: Shekargah derakhti (Tree Hunting- ground), Shekargah toranj dar (something that has citron hunting- ground), Shekargah Ghabi (Frame Hunting- ground), Citron triangular Hunting- ground, Shekargah sarasari.

Turkmen & Bokhara

From the point of view of geometrical and break of lines the design of Turkmen carpet is like the tribal designs which are allocated to the immigrant people.
This design is woven without any plan.
The subordinate groups are: Turkmen ghab yamoni, Turkmen shanei, Turkmen ghazal guz (The gazelle's eye), Turkmen akhal, 4 Frame Turkmeni, Turkmen Khorjini & Turkmen Ghashoghi.

Derakhti (Tree)

Although the essential items in designing carpet and branchs and leaves, but in derakhti plans it has been tried to crate move similarity with the nature. The famous Derakhti desighns are named as : Derakhti janevari (Animal Tree), Derakhti sabzi kar ya ab nama (Market-garden or Water-view tree), Drakhti sarvi, Drakhti Goldani (vase tree).

Botei (Crucible)

The botei design is imitated from cypress tree. The curved bush of Iran carpet is known as Bote Jege in belie designs different items with different sizes are seen. The most famous bush designs one: Bote Jege (Tuft Crucible), Bote Shakhe Ghavazn (Harts horn Crucible), Bote Sarabandi, Bote Termeh (Cashmere Crucible), Bote kherghei (Wadded cloak Crucible), Bote Ghalamkar Isfahan, 8 flowers, Bote Kordestani or 8 Bote, Bote Mir, Bote Lachak Toranj (Citron Triangular Crucible), Bote Sannandaj, Bote Afshari, Bote Bazobandi.

Bandi (Rope)

The reason of using this word for this design is because of the use of small part plan repeatedly in all over the carpet in length 8 width. So these parts match each other when they are repeated that's why they call it Band Bandi or Vagereh.
Subordinate names of this group are Bandi Eslimi , Bandi Pichak, Bandi Shekaste, Bandi Katibei, Bandi Mostafavi, Bandi Varamin or Minakhani, Bandi Toranjdar, Bandi Ghabghabi, Bandi shirshekari, Bandi Sarvi, Molanasredin, Bandi Ghaleb Kheshti, Bandi Bakhtiyari, Bandi Majlesi, Bandi Khoshe Angor (grape glean rope), Bandi Shakhe Ghavazn Heyvandar, Bandi Khatam Shirazi, Bandi Daste Gol (Bouquet Rope).

Eghtebasi (Extraction)

Some of these designs are related to the map of the local parts of border regions of Iran.

Afshan (Scatter)

Although in all carpet drawings, usually all parts and designs are linked to each other and you can see no cut between the drawers pencil movement but in Afshan design the flowers and leaves and branches are separated with no relation in carpet.
For this case, the origin of this kind of drawing called Afshan but in Afshan Design also there is.
Verity and lots of changes and many sine plans had been branched out from it such as:Afshn Eslimi, Afshan Khatai, Afshan Bandi, Afshan Shekaste (Broken Scatter), Afshan Gol Anari (Pomegranate Flower Scatter), Afshan Shahabbasi, Afshan Shakhepich, Afshane Daste Gol (Bouquet Scatter), Afshan Heyvandar (Having Animal Scatter), Afshan Toranjdar (Having Citron Scatter).

Eslimi Designs(Islamic)

The main shape of this plan has been made by curved and circled branches among leaves.These branches are abstractions of Derakhti design Eslimi has many different kinds and usually repeated in most frames but in some carpets. This drawing is dominated.
The most famous are Eslimies and Dahan Ajdar (Torpedo Mouth) ones. In this kind the end part of every branch divides to two symmetrical parts and it has been shown as two jaws of dragon. On the stem of branches buds that are called Eslimi. Perhaps the name of Eslimi come from Eslimi that means bud and may be this word is abbreviation of word Eslimi and we know that this drawing has been used very much in the Islamic art.
Also this drawing has subordinate groups because of much interference such as Eslami Bandi, Eslami Shekaste, Eslimi Dahan Ejdeha (Torpedo Mouth Eslimi), Citron triangular Eslimi, Having Citron Eslimi, Snake Eslimi.

Shah Abbasi Designs

The base of this drawing includes special flowers that are called Shah Abbasi.
These flowers next to the branches, leaves & some line Eslimies in the center & corners of carpet. Create is the main plan of carpet. The subordinate groups are called: Afshan, Lachak Toranj, Toranjdar, Derakhti, Janevari, Sheikh Saffi, Toredare Selselei (Series Tress), Shah Abbas Tasarofi, Toranji Toredar (Tress Citron), Botei, Lachak Toranj Kaf Sadeh.

Old Architectures & Islamic Building Designs

These plans have been inspired from the buildings, glazed tile working geometrical shape and decorations of buildings.During the history the designer of carpet have interfered in the original designs and have created subordinate drawings. The most famous old works are: Sheikh Lotfollah masque, Mehrabi Kofi, Masjede Kabod (Dark Blue Mosque), Maghbare Sheikh Saffi, Sardare Emamzadeh Mahrogh, Gonbad Ghabos, Shah Isfahan masque, Takhte Jamshid (Perspolise), Tagh Bostan, Tagh Kasra, Zir Khaki.
